Analytics, only if you accept

We would like to know how people find this site and which pages they read, so we use Google Analytics 4. It is switched off until you press Accept on the cookie banner. Until then the Google script is never downloaded, no request is made to Google, and no cookies are set.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects the pages you view, roughly where you are (country or city level, from a truncated IP address), which site or search sent you here, and what kind of device and browser you use. We see this as aggregate numbers. We do not use it to identify you, we do not link it to anything else, and we have advertising features, ad personalisation and Google Signals switched off. Google processes this data as our processor and may store it outside your country. Their own terms are at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you press Decline, nothing loads and nothing is stored except a single note in your browser recording that you said no, so we stop asking.

Changing your mind

Your choice is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, so clearing your browser data resets it. To change it now, reopen the cookie banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on.

Fonts

The typefaces come from Google Fonts, which loads on every visit and is not covered by the banner. Serving fonts means your browser contacts Google and Google sees your IP address. Google states it does not use Google Fonts requests to profile people and does not set cookies for them.

Getting in touch

There is no contact form here. If you email us, we keep that email and anything in it for as long as it takes to have the conversation and, if it turns into work, for as long as we need it for that. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Your rights, and who to ask

If you are in the UK or the EU you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to it being used. Write to contact@ninebits.com.ua and we will answer. 9bits is based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
